St. Euphemia Sticker
St. Euphemia Sticker
Inspired by the miracle of St. Euphemia at the fourth council of Nicaea when she helped the bishops and priests discover that the Monophysite teachings of the time were incorrect. At this council, the Monophysites argued that Christ was of one nature, while the other group argued that Christ was of two-natures (God and man,) as the Church had long taught. After each party wrote their standpoint on a scroll, they placed the scrolls in the hands of the reposed St. Euphemia and sealed and guarded her tomb. After three days, when the men came to see if a miracle had occurred, St. Euphemia was holding the scroll of Orthodox confession in her hands and the scroll of the Monophysites was at her feet. Glory to God for His saints!
